Step-by-step vidhi
- Shape the hill. Shape Govardhan in the courtyard from cow dung or clay and decorate it with flowers.
- Worship. Offer roli, rice, flowers, milk and a lamp to Govardhan and Shri Krishna.
- Annakut bhog. Offer the Annakut, a heap of many dishes, to Shri Krishna.
- Parikrama. Circumambulate the Govardhan seven times while chanting.
- Cattle puja and prasad. Honour cows and share the Annakut prasad.
